​CLARA is a personal artificial intelligence assistant designed to help users manage information, communication, productivity, connected devices, and everyday digital tasks from a unified interface.

CLARA combines conversational AI with authorized integrations to provide voice interaction, information retrieval, personal memory, email assistance, contact lookup, device monitoring, screen assistance, and other productivity functions.

​

CLARA is designed to operate only with services and data that the user has explicitly authorized.

What CLARA Can Do

Depending on the integrations enabled by the user, CLARA may provide features including:

  • Voice-based AI conversations

  • Persistent personal memory

  • Gmail reading, search, summarization, and email assistance

  • Google Contacts lookup

  • Calendar and productivity assistance

  • Computer and system-status monitoring

  • Screen-sharing assistance when explicitly enabled

  • Weather and location-based information

  • Smart-home and IoT device monitoring

  • Personal device and system telemetry

  • Predictive system alerts

  • Apple Watch biometric integration where separately configured

  • YouTube, Instagram, messaging, and other service integrations where supported by the relevant platform APIs

Not every feature is available by default. Individual integrations must be separately configured and authorized.

Google Contacts Integration

CLARA may request read-only access to Google Contacts.

This access allows CLARA to locate information such as:

  • Contact names

  • Phone numbers

  • Email addresses

  • Organizations

  • Other contact information made available by the Google People API

For example, when a user says:

“Clara, find John in my contacts”

or

“Clara, call John”

CLARA may search the user's authorized Google Contacts to locate the correct contact information.

CLARA does not use the Google Contacts read-only permission to modify or delete contacts.

Gmail Integration

Where Gmail access is enabled, CLARA may help users:

  • Find emails

  • Read emails

  • Summarize messages

  • Identify important messages

  • Search messages by sender, subject, or keyword

  • Assist with drafting replies

Any additional email modification or sending capability requires the appropriate Google permissions and may require explicit user confirmation.

User Control

CLARA is designed around user authorization.

Users decide which integrations are connected and may revoke access at any time through the relevant provider account settings.

CLARA does not intentionally access accounts, devices, files, contacts, messages, or other private information without authorization.
